I love the Soft Poems! There’s this quiet strength in the way the glyphs come and go, kind of like memories popping up in a dream. The transparent layers and the way things are partially hidden create this cool tension between being there and not.

Thanks so much! Your reading of the work is on point. The majority of what I make has been involved in exploring liminal spaces in various ways. I’ve always been drawn to exploring the tensions you mentioned, a sense of “in-betweenness” that’s hard to define. Thank you for subscribing, also🙏🏾

For some reason, I thought I was already subscribed....and when I realized I wasn’t, I had to fix that immediately! I really love your work; it pulled me in right away. The way you explore those spaces and that feeling of “in-betweenness” is so compelling....it really resonated with me. And the cat....total bonus.

Hi Tim. Thanks for posting your work and your activities! I’m very distracted between the destruction of our country and keeping my mind right by growing seedlings in my basement - all flowers. I’m glad you are able to keep painting. Jack Whitten is one of my all-time big faves. He was such a genius and so persistent in exploring ideas and techniques. I admire him so much. Of course I have to get to MOM to see the fabulous show! I hope you get there too. It’s definitely a MUST!

All the best, Nancy

Hi Nancy, thanks for your comments and reading! I'm distracted, too, but the work is part of what's keeping me sane, so that's where my energy goes. I'm hoping your seedings flourish. Jack Whitten is definitely one of my favorites of all time. I wish I'd gotten to know his work before I did, but better late than never.
